Mnemonics is great for memory improvement. They're memory tools used for remembering pieces of information. The brain can interpret a whole mass of different stimuli, from sounds and smells to emotions and language. However, certain data is harder to remember than other pieces due to the way it's presented.

Coding Information

By coding information through mnemonics it's possible to improve memory. The data is coded by using a striking mental image in such a way that both the information itself and the structure of it can be recalled. By making it striking you should be able to remember it far more easily. Some memory improvement techniques include:

* Using a positive image because often the brain attempts to obscure nasty ones.
* Try and use as many senses as possible: smell, taste, sound, touch as well as movement and emotion.
* Make the image three dimensional in the sense of using movement, position and space. Movement in particular can be used to recall actions or a flow of associated ideas.

* Make important features of the information more exaggerated.
* Humor's a great technique in terms for memory improvement.
* Signs and symbols are good memory tools due to their well known associations.

Designing Mnemonics

There are three main ideas behind creating your own mnemonic for

Memory Improvement:

* Imagination: in order to create the associations needed to recall the information you require imagination. The more clearly you're able to visualize and the stronger the connection you feel to it, the easier it'll be to recall it later.

* Association: this is the way in which you make image relevant to the data you're trying to remember.

Methods To Do That Include:

* crash images together or place them over each other;

* merge images or wrap them together;

* have them so they rotate or move together in some way;

* Or link them using different senses.

* Location: by having a location you can store the information in a particular space. It also allows you to keep certain pieces of data separate from other pieces so that they can be organized more clearly in your mind.

Types of Mnemonics:

There are different types of mnemonics which you can use for memory improvement as well as images:

* create a sentence which uses the first letter of each word you need to remember;
* create acronyms by using the first letter of words can create one new word;
* write the information into a rhyme;
* make a joke by figuring out what's funny about a certain fact or idea;
* organize certain pieces of information together;
* Or associate a piece of data with a specific landmark or place.
Anyone is capable of memory improvement. With the right memory improvement techniques, it is possible to store and recall information from your brain quite easily.
The main idea behind mnemonics is to take data that's otherwise hard to remember and code it in such a way that it's easier to store in the brain. Using these techniques you'll see memory improvement is truly possible. Visit http://www.memoryimprovement101.org .
